How did you hear about Holly Douglas Boudoir? Through a friend who booked a session and invited me to the social media pages.
Why did you choose Holly Douglas Boudoir for your session? LOTS AND LOTS of research but also the testimonials from everyone were ALWAYS positive and knowing someone who personally did a session helped a lot too.
What made you decided to take the leap of faith and do a boudoir session? Honestly if it weren’t for my upcoming 10 year anniversary I wouldn’t have gone through with it. I wanted to do something unique band different.
Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about? HELL YEAH I WAS NERVOUS, I mean a conservative Christian woman raised in a VERY CONSERVATIVE Southern Baptist home would NEVER do this or be supported in doing this. (Shhhh….don’t tell my mamma lol) I was most nervous about being too ugly for pictures and not attractive at all.
Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves? It took me a bit but Holly was persistent and real, not fake, but real in her words and affirmations.
What was your favorite part of the experience and why? Getting my hair and make up done professionally as well as being told by another woman (who is GORGEOUS but not a size 2) that I was beautiful.
How did you feel during your session? Weird, awkward, silly in all these different poses but fun as well.
Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time. Emotional, like is that REALLY me?
How has your relationship with your body changed since your session? Nothing has changed, it’s a mind set and I know that.
What would you say to people who say they can’t do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc? Girl please! If my fat ass can do it, so can you!
Anything else you’d like to add? Don’t stop, don’t quit, don’t give up.
