Ms K tells us about her Nashville Boudoir Session

How did you hear about Holly Douglas Boudoir? Seen something on Facebook about a Boudoir session, then I started looking up Boudoir photography around the Nashville area.

Why did you choose Holly Douglas Boudoir for your session? After reading many of the comments and seeing Holly’s interaction with her clients , and seeing some of her work , I became more intrigued.

What made you decided to take the leap of faith and do a boudoir session? Being 51 , and never feeling good about myself , going through a divorce after 32 years , losing my both my biological father and grandbaby last year, I decided to do something to make me feel good about myself for once.

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about? I was so nervous ! I had no idea what to expect , or how to pose , what to do .

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves? The moment I met Holly, I became comfortable, it was like visiting with an old friend

What was your favorite part of the experience and why? Being made to feel that I was beautiful

How did you feel during your session? I felt Ah Maze Ing !

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time. In reviewing the photos , I could not believe that it was me !

How has your relationship with your body changed since your session? We see all the flaws within ourselves, others do not . We all have scars, but they have help make me who I am today. I have began to realize that I am a strong, beautiful woman .

What would you say to people who say they can’t do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc? Don’t let your own demons convince you that you are not good enough. You deserve to do this , for yourself. I promise you , it will be one of the best, life changing decisions you will ever make.

Anything else you’d like to add? I absolutely love Holly and I experienced my very first massage to boot ! I was at complete ease , and i shocked myself that didn’t bother me one bit to be completely nude in front of the camera. I have never thought of myself as liking my own pics, but I had a hard time narrowing these down!
